Scrapbook Basics

Why Scrapbook?

What better way to preserve those precious memories for years to come. Scrapbooking is a creative way to display your photos for your family and future generations to enjoy!

Acid Free & Lingnin Free

These terms are heard often in the scrapbooking world and are very important ones to remember. Acid is used in the paper manufacturing process and could eventually harm your photos. It's important to use papers that have a Ph value of 7.0-9.0. Lingin is a product found in trees and could also harm your photos-Lingnin will cause your photos to yellow over time.

Using memorabilia in your album can be preserved with an archival mist or placed in protective pockets so they will not cause damage to your photos.

This is an important aspect of scrapbooking-this is what it is all about! How many of us have photos in a box and have no idea who, what, when & where are in the pictures? Be sure to answer these questions while journaling. Remember the 4 W's.
